Blockchain & Metaverse are merging for buying, owning and renting a land or a property in a virtual world. Here are two solutions in first approach : Decentraland and The Sandbox Game.

Decentraland:

Launched in 2017, Decentraland is a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organisation), it provides a fungible token (FT) called MANA (for selling/buying a virtual land or a wearable; Ethereum standard ERC-20) and a non-fungible token (NFT) called LAND (for owning a virtual land; Ethereum standard ERC-721) or WEAR (for owning a wearable). It is built on top of Ethereum blockchain and makes use of OpenSea service. Recommended electronic wallet is MetaMask.

The Sandbox Game:

Launched in 2018, The Sandbox Game is a metaverse and 3D games marketplace, it provides a fungible token called SAND (for selling/buying a 3D game or another asset; Ethereum standard ERC-20) and non-fungible tokens LAND (for owning a virtual land; Ethereum standard ERC-721), GAMES (for owning a 3D game) or ASSETS (for owning another asset).
